All,

I am attempting to automate the connection between the user and expert in XP
with remote assistance.

An ideal scenario would be a shortcut on the desktop which would send the
help request to the same e-mail regardless of the machine.

This is a rather large environment and we can't always get the user to
follow instructions efficiently. It is equally difficult to get the name of
the computer the user is logged into as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Remote scripting would let you run a script on the subject machine, after you
get the email request.

see
Remote WSH
"The introduction of the exec command provides a more flexible way to call
programs that run on the same machine, but script writers are asking for the
ability to run scripts on remote machines for tasks such as remote
administration. "
