Does anyone know for a fact, whether or not Access 7.0
will run OK on Windows XP?

Greetings --

Access 7, the version that shipped as part of Office Professional
for Windows 95, is not supported on WinXP. The earliest version of
Office applications that are WinXP compatible are the Office 97
(version 8.0) applications. This doesn't necessarily mean that it
won't work, but you'll have to try it to find out, unless someone else
has experience with that version.

I have no experience with Access 95, but I can verify that both
Word 95 and Excel 95 work fine here under Windows XP.

This may be a factual statement, but it is certainly evasive.

Microsoft does not "support" software once 2 newer versions come out.
So the fact that Office 95 is not longer supported means absolutely
nothing about whether it will work with Windows XP. In fact, every
version of Office works fine on Windows XP. To suggest otherwise is
simply irresponsible.

Isn't that what I said? (Except that I didn't make the absurd
claim that _every_ version of Office works on WinXP. How's Office 4.3
do, hmmmm?)
