Hi,

Examine boot.ini on the root of C:\, it will open in notepad. You must have
folder options set to view hidden and system files for this. It should tell
you which folder is being loaded. Delete the one that isn't being used.

Rick, I have a similar situation where I renamed the old Windows folder to
'winold' and am now rebuilding my system.
Is there anything in winold I may need for the new Windows folder, or can I
just delete it now?
Everything's working fine so far.

Hi John,

Chances are, there is nothing in the old folder you could use outside of any
files that you specifically saved there. As you already probably know,
programs will need to be reinstalled anyhow, so I would just delete it.
