I have a new XP system. I have installed the hard drive from my old ME system into the new because it was not in a condition to boot up the old system. If I use the File & Transfer Wizard, will XP be corrupted if it grabs ME settings off my old HD?

Also, if I customize and grab a folder, will it grab the sub-folders automatically?

Another thing, even though I only picked folders on certain drives (partitions on the old HD) it seems to collect stuff from my C: on the new system. Is this going to mess something up if I transfer it back to the C: ?

Hi Harley,

You can't use the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard in this manner. You would
need to reinstall the drive in the other system, boot it, and run the
fastwiz on it to gather and transfer the desired information to the new
system.

Thanks, Rick, I was afraid of that. I think I'll be transferring files manually since that drive is stuck in a "loop" of non-booting...
