I have just put a new drive in my P3 System at home and installed a clean
[new] version of XP Pro.
I have noticed that on restart the system seems to hold on the Windows Logo
screen with no hard apparent hard drive activity. The system does boot but
after about 6 or 7 minutes and then runs problem free. If I restore to the
original installation [no drivers added] the system does seem to boot with
no apparent problems but again I have to start installing all my drivers and
software and then suffer the same boot problem.
Has anyone else suffered this - how can I remedy this??
Spec:
Fujitsu Siemens Euroline P3 999
256 Ram
Maxtor Fireball 3 40Gb HD
Creative Labs Geforce 3 Ti 200 graphics card
Creative Labs Soundblaster 4.1 digital
