not in a call

i am trying to use the application sharing option on 4.7
but after being connected i cant choose any of the
programs in the list. All options are grey. at the top it
says "not in a call"
Please help.

Greetings DMW,

It sounds like you're not connecting to your contact. Firstly, you and your contact might
try turning off the Internet Connection Firewall (if its been engaged). Click Start, then
click the Control Panel. If you're in category view click Network and Internet connections
then click Network Connections. Right click your network/internet connection, then click
Properties. Click the Advanced Tab, and verify that the Internet Connection Firewall is
unchecked.

Secondly, if you or your contact are behind any type of NAT (that is, router, Internet
Connection Sharing, etc.), the NAT will need to support Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). A
number of routers now support UPnP, but they may need a firmware update. Check your router
manufacturers website to see if there's an update for UPnP, or simply reply back here with
the brand and model of the router and we can quickly check to see if UPnP is available.
