Word for windows

I just switched from windows 98 to windows xp, and I am
confronting a problem with my wordpad application:
1- I can't open my corel application from xp
2- Any file in wordpad that I change is then saved in
..rtf even if I want them to be saved in .doc
3- The system keeps prompting me that the extension
winword.exe is missing.

You need to install Microsoft Word. You can purchase it
at most any store that sells computer software.
