can't load windows

hi, i have windows xp professional, i'm having problems.
when i turn on my computer its fine, but after it shows
that the windows xp is loading, after that, nothing
appears and the monitor either remains blank or tells me
there is no signal. Sometimes it does load but whe it
does, the color resolution is all messed up and i can't
change it. What should i do?

Try checking your monitor settings. For example the refresh rate may be set
too high.
