I've recently purchased a Presario 6000 with preinstalled
Windows XP Home Edition.

It started to become slow processing programs and
information, so I purchased Ultra Win Cleaner 2000. It
seems to have removed something needed to run every
program I have. I've reinstalled everything I have discs
for, but at times it will ask me to insert my Windows XP
CD that came with my system!!!!!!!

I asked Compaq for it and they told me to ask Best Buy for
it, I asked Best Buy they told me to ask Microsoft for
it!!!!!!!

Who has my CD?

See if you have a c:\i386 folder. When setup asks for your CD
you should be able to rediredt to that folder.

Did you get any CDs with the machine ? Look on them for a
\i386 folder.
