messenger pop up ads?

Having a major problem with messenger ads, can not find
any information on the microsoft sites! Can anyone help ?

Hi Sean

To stop popup adds go to the Control Panel, Administrative Tools,Services,
scroll down to
messenger and double click it, and where it says startup type automatic
change to disabled.
