My harddrive has a c & d partiton. backup files are on D:
I have backed all up to cd-r's and want to format d drive
only and load other programs on there. How do I get to D:
? Do I have to make d the boot drive in setup and then
get access? Dont know how tp format the drive either.
I am fairly computer illiterate so you will have to
explain step by step how to access and format. I
appreciate
any help you can give me. thanks
Doug

If all you want to do is format the current drive and not change the size.
You can format a NTFS, Fat, Fat32 drive or partition from Computer
Management, Disk Management. Disk Management can be accessed by right
clicking on My Computer and select Manage. Use help from the Disk Management
console to learn about the use of DM.
