View Full Version : IE Toolbar Buttons Behave Strangely

When I start IE 6 from a URL (i.e., from a Favorite or from Start | Run and
typing a URL), I first see the standard toolbar buttons. Once the page has
started to load, the toolbar buttons change to the way I have them
customized. Strange (?)
How can I prevent IE 6 from starting with the standard toolbar buttons?
(Admittedly, not the very biggest problem, but an annoyance nonetheless.)

Just for fun, I had a look at the behavior of IE 5.5, which I use at work.
Sure enough, when IE is opened from a Favorite, or by typing a URL into
Start | Run, the standard toolbar buttons display first, until the page
starts to load, then my chosen toolbar buttons take over. Perhaps I never
noticed this before because my connections at home (via cable modem) and at
work (via a T-1 line) are so fast that I never saw what was going on.
