SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 sound card problem

Hi,

I am using a SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Platinum sound card.
Used the most updated driver in Windows XP.
When I open winamp to listen to some music, sometimes the
sound will skip or pause for a short period of time. That
will only happen when I am doing something else in the
backgroud, for example open up another application.
Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

Have you tried rolling the sound card driver back to a previous
driver? And are you using Winamp 3?
