I was just prompted to download 811493. Since I just removed an update,
I was wondering if this one is safe to download. Thanks.

No! Wait until MS fixes it. Monitor this NG - you'll soon find out when that
happens.

After first stating that I have had no problems, I noticed that I booted =
up fine, but when I got to the desktop, it still was loading for another =
10-15 seconds. OE would take 10 more on average to load, as well as IE6. =
this seemed to do so on any application I hadn't opened yet when first =
getting into Windows. I uninstalled it, and the Desktop is ready to go =
after reaching it like before the fix.

It seems to be a strange interaction between Windows and background
anti-virus activity. If you don't run background AV, then the problem
doesn't seem to arise.
