I have installed a new primary HD with Win Xp home, and
use my old HD as a data disc but the system will not allow
me to access the data on the old disc - which appears to
be installed correctly as a Primary Slave.

I have never implemented any passwords, nor had multiple
users and have no need or plans to.

Is it possible to remove all these "Security" restrictions
from a system and have all files accessable to all
applications.

Try this
Take Ownership see Help and Support, or=20
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=3D308421=20
Note that it is safe to do this to user storage areas,=20
by you do not want to do this on the system's drive.
