password reveal

hi
i was chatting with someone i know ..he asked me as to
try through msn messanger to recieve a file it
was "password reveal.exe"which can reveal my email
password provided that i have to open msn chat window
with the victim so he wants me to reveal his account
password ..i did but my version was xp which it can't
work with ..just with 9x versions
some of my friends told me that this is a hacking file to
my system!!is that right ??
can u provide me with further info please

Win9x/Me have no real security model, so there are=20
many things that can be done on/to them.
Stick with XP and have a safer/happier time.
