Moving Program Files?

Anybody know a way of moving my program files folder from under c:\windows
to somewhere of my choosing? I tried tweakUI, and it doesn't have program
files, and I also tried x-setup, and it also does not have the option to
change that folder...plenty of others. I know you can do this in Win2000,
but I think the reason for it, is the fact that it would most likely be used
for a client comupter in a netowrk, where you might want o move files
around. Is it possible to move it in Wndows XP?

Do a search for a program called "change of address 2" or "coa2".

I use COA2 a lot. In fact, I have used it to relocate an installation of
Office 2000 to another drive (what a trip THAT was). But I just don't know
about using it to move the Program Files folder as many programs expect that
folder to be on the drive where Windows is installed!

I don't know if that would work either. I have used coa2 to move =
programs to program files on the XP disk from another partition also - =
that went fine.

I had tried keeping programs on a separate drive also but that was a =
bigger hassle than it was worth. Most programs had to be reinstalled =
anyhow if XP was reinstalled. Now I just install to the C drive and do =
image backups. All my data is on a separate drive though.
