Got it (i think)

Well I let the system reboot itself over and over and went to make tea.
Came back 10 minutes later and it was up.

I removed the last 2 programs I had installed (Easy CD Creator and TweakUI).

Keeping fingers crossed.

Go to Recovery Console and type:

cd system32\config
ren system system.old
ren system.alt systemalt.old
copy c:\windows\repair\system
copy c:\windows\repair\regback\system
exit
