Hi All,
Due to problems that I shall not bore you with I had to delete a user from
my XP Pro SP1 system. This has had the annoying resulti of leaving
authorities on some folders for a "ghost" user S-1-344-bla-bla--bla.
Apart from removing the inherited flag from all folders and removing the
entry how can I get rid of this minor annoyance?
Best Regards,
Chris Lane

Locate the inheritance root and remove it once there.

How do you do that?
I have a similar problem. I deleted the 'Owner' user by mistake and now
some programs are having problems running. Some didn't run at all. I tried
to installed them again, but that didn't work either. I suspect there are
some entries in the registry still with the old, unexistent user id.
HELP!
