Thanks Doug. It was my fault for not knowing about the lack of a PWS with XP
Home. On the other hand you would expect an "upgrade" to add features, not
subtract them. So it is a bit of a trap. Must have been many thousands of
people who got caught like me, and now have to pay the price. I just checked
the microsoft site, and see no indication that there is a rebate on XP Pro
upgrade for Home users. -- Sam

I understand, Sam. Whether or not they're offering the rebate varies.
Sometimes its there, sometimes its not.
