Faxing problems

I just CANNOT send or receive a fax. I get as far
as "sending fax" message and the end result is always the
same .. "no answer" I have the right nos but I must be
doing some wrong. I am using XP with Lexmark73 and all
other functions are fine. I have been using the other
functions for 8 months now and no problems at all. When I
first set up I did succeed in sending Fax so I know
nothing is actually wrong. I called Lexmark on their
helpline but they are no more informed than I am or at
least the person I spoke to. If any help at all I would
really appreciate it as I think I have exhausted all
avenues by now.

I use this FREE Fax software to send/receive faxes from
http://www.v3inc.com/. After downloaded and set up, when you need to fax any
docs etc go to file>print>V3 Callcentre printer. You will then be prompted
by a wizard to input the appropriate details.

The web page says this software does not support ISDN or Cable Modems, it
does, I am on Cable Broadband and all I do when needing to send a Fax is
re-connect my dial up modem from my computer into phone socket. It seems to
work ok.

I hope this will/may help to start sending faxes again. If you have any
probs re-post here.
