View Full Version : Altered account group

Hi.
I have XPhome. Whilst 'educating' myself on it, I've
inadvertantly changed an account setting.
I was using 'control userpasswords2' from the run box, to
reset a password for a different account. I messed around
with some of the group options for another account,
changing it from 'restricted' to standard. I'd created a
restore point so I thought I'd be safe.
However, when I rebooted, I found the account was not
displayed on the welcome screen. It is still there as it
can be logged in to via classic logon but it is now a
guest account. More significantly, the restore won't work.
Any suggestions on how I redeem the account and get it
back to it's original status?
Regards,
SLJ
