I recently purchased a Dell Dimension 2350 with Windows
XP Home already installed. I'm the Administrator on the
PC, with two other user accounts. One of the Accounts
belongs to my Girlfriend, which is set to Limited Access.
I'm wondering if there is a way to make her an
Administrator without the possibility of her erasing any
passwords or altering any settings. The main reason I
wish to upgrade her account is primarily because I don't
want to have to be called to approve each and every
download. On the other hand, I don't want her to have
unrestricted access to the System since she has a habit
of trying to make changes without knowing the potential
effects.

Thank You
Curtis

Curtis;
Either she will be an Administrator or she won't.
Any Administrator can do and undo anything any Administrator can do.

You might try going into the Local Security Policy and
just giving her certain access to certain parts of The
OS. You can give tons of access without making someone an
administrator. Look under Administrative Tools | Local
Security Policy | User Rights Assignments.

Just a thought.
