Wordpad error

[Rosshill road]

For the past two weeks,i've been unable to open Wordpad
which is included in windows home xp by default.
When i click on the wordpad icon i get this message
(Wordpad mfc application has encountered a problem& needs
to close).My computer is clean What to do next please?
