If you saved the file to your hard drive. Open Windows Explorer or My
Computer and navigate to the folder where you saved the file to. Double
click it, that will either start the program, or start the install of the
program. If it's just a simple executable file, not a file that installs a
program, but is the program itself, and it's a program you're going to use
often, then right click that file, then left click Send to/Desktop (create
shortcut) DeskLink., and you'll have an icon on your desktop to double click
every time you want to run that program. But, if the saved .exe file
INSTALLS the program, as part of the install, it will either put an icon on
your desktop and/or an item on your Start menu/Programs to run it. If it
doesn't do those things after the INSTALL, then go to the folder where the
program installed itself to as a result of double clicking the original .exe
file, and find the new .exe file that runs the program, and create a desktop
shortcut as described above. Before doing any of the above, scan the file
with your antivirus program.
