View Full Version : Deactivate Icons and programs that load for User with LIMITED USER ACCESS

I have administrative rights on my DAVE user account. I have my son set up
for LIMITED USER account. When I log on under DAVE I have several running
apps and their icons by the clock in the lower right. They include:
firewall, wall paper changer, Scanner, etc. When my son LIMITED USER
william logs on, they are all there. I dont want scanner, or one or two
other icons in the lower right.

I dont want certain programs to load in the back ground when he uses Limited
User William. I was logged on as him and tried MSCONFIG to adjust Start-Up
(I was told I didn't have the administrative right). I tried right
clicking on the task bar and selected PROPERTIES then HIDE INACTIVE ICONS,
but this is not sufficient.

How do I control what does and does not load at start up for the Limited
User account? Remember I want to have them all load when I log on as Dave.

I am a beginner at User accounts etc. I heard once about Policy Editor, but
I have no clue how to use it.

Thanks.
