Hi, how do I get a specified Domain Controler to
syncronise its time to another shoosen one in a win2000
based network?

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tomas

Hi,

This is not really a question for an XP newsgroup.
Asking in the right place will usually get you more=20
rapid, accurate, and complete information.

You use "net time /setsntp" to configure NTP servers,=20
but this should not be needed in an AD domain.
All machines should already be operating in a single=20
tree for timeservices, rooted at the PDC enumator=20
FSMO of each domain, with the forestroot domain=20
FSMO as the topmost.=20

You use w32tm to test NTP services, or force an=20
immediate timesync.

If you have need to change anything except the=20
external timesource of the forestroot, for reasons=20
other than you distributed site topology, that is=20
a sign that something is not right with your AD=20
support infrastructure.
