possibly related (814033). Also, I am noticing that my
RAM resources keep diminishing, even though there is no
evident reason. Drive optimization drops noticeably
withing a day or two of scan and defrag operation. I
have Norton Systemworks 2003 and religiously do all virus
updates. The resources diminishing problem has been
happening with this computer for several years, while I
was running Windows 98 Second Edition, but the Windows
Update problem surfaced right after I had a BIOS upgrade
done. My concern is that some program from the net is
accessing my computer, or a virus is in there that isn't
detected, although I am also running Norton's Firewall,
but this was not a problem before the BIOS update and RAM
upgrade. Have you had any response or help with your
problem?????
