I am running as a single user on XP Pro. I always try to
have the latest updates. Before my last update when I
booted up, I went right to my desktop. I did not have to
log on or anything.
I just installed security update 814995; DirectX 9.0a; and
MS .NET Framework 1.1.
Now, when I boot up I get the Welcome screen and have to
click on my user name (no password required). If I get rid
of that screen I get the classic log-on screen.
What changed this and why? Many times after updatres I
find some settings I have made were changed by the update.
It is extrememly frustrating.
