Tina,
A couple of options:
1. Open Control Panel, then go to User Accounts/ Change
the way users log on or off, then check the Use the
Welcome Screen box.
2. For the account that you normally use, you can set the
password to null (i.e., no password) by selecting the
account from that same Control Panel item.
3. FWIW, developing the habit of always locking your
computer and using a password is probably a good idea.
