Hi,

About a month ago, flash sites stopped working on my PC.
When I try to install the flash player from the web site,
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/triggerpages_mmcom/flash.html
nothing happens.
Everything else on my system works fine.
(WinXP, Athlon Pro 2600 chip, 256 ram, 40 gig hard drive, broadband cable.)

Can anybody help me with why shockwave won't install?

Thanks,

as

Did you uninstall the old version first as you were advised in a
previous message?

oops. nope. I just now looked in the add/delete thing, and found
shockwave, so I deleted it, and then went to the website to
install again, but nothing happens.

Do you think this is something a "restore point" would fix?

Thanks for the reply.

It's finally installed! Downloaded and ran the uninstaller from their web
site, and after a couple of tries, the installer finally worked.

Thanks for the help.
