me to xp internet connect issue

i just upgraded from me to xp. i am able to connect to
the internet ok but the connections drops frequently.
when the connection drops, i am able to reconnect and
continue beyond the point where it dropped.
i have talked with my isp - to confirm settings.
any ideas?

Uninstall the ME drivers for your modem and install drivers for this
device that were written for XP. I'm assuming you just did an upgrade
install as opposed to formatting the drive and installing clean.
