UPDATE ROLLUP 1

Having applied XP Update Rollup 1 to a Windows XP machine
with SP1 I found that I could not upload the image to my
RIS server. Upon investigation I found out that certain
updates cause this error to occur (KB324573). I then
removed Update Rollup 1 and rebooted. My machine will now
not boot! Safe mode, last known good, do not work. It
hangs right after the bios screen. HELP. Is there a
problem with the uninstall? How can I get it to boot?

Hi Chris,

You can try In-place upgrade to repair the installation to allow Windows XP
to boot up again. This will remove all the service pack and upgrade on yout
current installation. Refer to the following article:

- The same exists with Windows XP.

You need to update Windows XP again to keep it up to date. Also, some
application may need to be reinstalled.
