cant' install application .exe file

can anyone tell me how to install an exe file of an
application into the system? A lot of times a software
has a setup file and you can install it. This time I
have an exe file and when I double click it, a black box
flashes and nothing happens.

Type cmd in Start Run, drag your file into the window, press enter, =

Please help us to help you. What's the application? What's the
name of the exe file? Where did you get it?
