Help! Copying files to "private" folders on laptop

A better question is... How can I copy files from a
private folder on my desktop to a private folder on the
company laptop (both running WinXP with simple file
sharing). Thank you very much.

Copy the file from the private folder to the shared folder on the
desktop. Then copy the file from the desktop machine to the laptop
machine.

If you want more privacy then you need to use complex file sharing.
