i just got a new computer with xp already installed (my
old computer had the xp upgrade disk put in). everytime i
restart my new one, it resets my folder views to the
default that came with xp. needless to say, it's driving
me nuts with frustration. does anyone know how to fix this?
thanks in advance,
katie

Open a folder and set the view the way you want it. Now go to Tools, Folder
Options, select the View tab, and click the "Apply to all folders" button.
