View Full Version : VCD's
How can I turn a movie file into one that is compatible with viewing as a
VCD on my DVD player. I can play it in Windows Media Player but my software
"Record it Now" which came bundled with Windows XP says it is an
"incompatible file". It is a mystery to me and probably easy to sort out but
please someone help me out.
Cheers,
Mark

I use ProShow Gold. You can burn a cd auto execute on a pc, on the same cd
have it as a VCD file that will play on a VCD compatible DVD player. It
worked on a buddies $50 DVD player so it must be pretty stardard now.
You can check it out here and try the 15 day trial:

Tried quite a few and the easiest program I've seen is Ulead DVD Picture
show. You simply check off the directories you want to include, select the
template and burn. Automatically builds the menu items for you based on the
directory's name. Many programs seemed much more difficult when you want to
use multiple directories.
