I tried to run error checking on my hard drive, and it
said it couldn't do it at that time, it would reschedule
for the next time i reset my computer. i reset it, and it
started checking the disk. now, every time it makes it to
the point where it's checking the indexes, at about 13%,
it stops, flashes a screen of some error for about half a
second (not long enough to read much) and resets. then it
starts the checking loop over again. when the checking
first comes up, it give ten seconds to press any key to
skip the error check, but my keyboard (USB) does
nothing.....so i plugged in a standard keyboard, still no
recognition. before the checker opens, i can still hit F2
to go into the bios, so the keyboard should work.

anyone know how to stop this loop? can i cancel the error
checking some other way? what can i do? any help is
appreciated.

Interesting! My system just started doing the same thing as yours, exactly. The keyboard lets me stop it only occasionally but I have to catch it the second it starts. My system runs fine but everytime I have to reboot I have to play the keyboard game.
