I have a TDK USB Bluetooth adaptor, which i was reliably informed was
probably the best to use with WinXP pro.
HOWEVER... when i install, it screws up my LAN (which is wired through
router) and i lose internet access. The only was to resolve is to remove lan
and connect directly to ADSL modem, ipconfig/release and renew and then
re-conect to LAN.
It does this at least once every few hours.
I do get error message in event viewer saying device...... has been set to
ip 196.254.... etc...
ANY ideas what the bluetooth problem is?
Also, i have tried bridging the LAN and bluetooth which seems to help a
little although still happens (less frequently)

MANY THANKS

What do you want to do with your Bluetooth ?

Your setting is more or less like most ppl here
Internet < - > Router < - > PC via NIC.

Do not bridge the Bluetooth to have Bluetooth Network if you only want to
use it with your PPC.
Just make the Active sync talk to COM x .. which x == the port used by your
Bluetooth Serial port profile.
