I don't know when this came up but i think it was after i
updated windows xp. In one of the user accounts...a new
account popped up. its called "ASP.NET Machine A..."
all it did was slow my computer down and force me to
login when i start my computer. it isnt that bad but it
was a pain. Was there any significance for this new
account?

Hi

It comes from the the .Net 1.1 framework update.

INFO: Process and Request Identity in ASP.NET

In the future, some Web applications may need it to be present (but most likely
in an Intranet environment, and not Internet)
