Security and Critical updates

Hi Wayne

I have had exactly the same problem and would welcome a
reply/fix from Microsoft if anyone is listening. To
solve my problem I activated a system restore point that
was created just prior to installing these updates.
Everything seems to be working fine now.

Hi

Microsoft is aware of this problem with 811493 and working on it.

You should install Q817287 again to avoid the Catroot2 folder problem when
installing updates (especially after a system restore). Actually, you might
need to rename or delete the Catroot2 folder now to get Q817287 installed
because you did a system restore. After Q817287 is installed, hopefully you
don't need to think about the Catroot2 folder anymore.
