Just been through extreme pain myself using Side Raid 100
with a HPT370 chip set. My issue was that if the was
another IDE H/D that drive would always be found as drive
1 not the raid. However by whilst pulling out hair I
discovered that you need to change the M/B bios to allow,
in my case, booting from "other" device. in the boot
sequence. Suggest you poke around there HTH M.
