I have been having ongoing problems with my PC. My 'tech'
support keeps saying the software may be corrupt. I've
done two dumps and reinstalled evrything twice. Today, I
came across a file ....'MSOICONS'... that states it is
an 'unauthorized copy' of Microsoft Software. It is
an 'application' file in my Program files (Office 10). My
tech support says it's just the 'name' of the file, and
not to 'worry'. Can someone tell me if that is the case,
or is this really an 'unauthorized copy' as it states. It
came in the software I got with my computer, and with all
the trouble I amhaving, I am starting to think 'all' the
software they gave me may be bad. Already I have found
the 'CD Stomper' software they gave me was NOT compatible
with the XP, and it tried to rewrite most of my programs.
I am not very computer litterate, and I have no idea what
this "MSOICONS' application is or does.

Hmmm... Could "MSOICONS" translate to "MicroSoft Office ICONS"?
Maybe....?
