Accessing Unshared Folder After Reinstall to a diff. Dir

I had to reinstall Windows XP to a different directory
after my comp crashed and my user name did not share the
file in "my docs". Now that I am on a different user name
under the new xp installation I cannot go back and access
my old files becuse they were not shared and I am on a
different name and am unable to get back on the original
name. Does anyone know how I would go about getting my
unshared files back? THANKS!
