I have a portable which connected to the company domain.
I now have this portable at home and setup a workgroup
with my wireless desktop. I rebooted after setting the
portable (Compaq EVO N200) to access the home workgroup.

XP will now not allow me to login with either my
username or the administrator account. I took the
portable back to the office in the hope that it would
automatically recognize the domain but no luck.

The options button does not display any domains.
I have tried Safe mode and restore to last settings.
I have tried to restore domain controllers.
I have tried to run restore console but this requires
that the login is valid.

This is my MD's machine and the clock is ticking !!
Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Try seeing if the Administrator account is accessible by that name,=20
if you know its password.
alt-cntrl-del-del to get the old login dialog
