I have checked everywhere in my system help, on the
internet (including microsoft support), in books on XP
but can't find a solution to my problem. I am able to set
up a fax and get the modem to dial. But so far, when the
connection is made, instead of fax tones, there is
this "beep, beep, beep" which go on for a short while and
then a telco message comes on that says the phone has
been off hook and finally a racous fast beep which only
goes a way when I disconnect. The fax monitor says "no
answer". If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. I
have no clue as to how to get this working. I have a
Smartlink v.92 fax/modem which works fine for the internet
connection.
