Hello! My system configuration is:
AMD 1800+ XP CPU
ASUS A7N266 VM Motherboard (nforce 2 chipset)
512MB DDR, 40GB IDE, D-Link NIC, D-Link internal modem

When I install XP Pro everying works fine. The CPU usage is
normal. After this I apply SP1 and reboot. Now the CPU
usage is 100%. The SYSTEM process is using the CPU all the
time. I have not installed a single software. What is
causing this problem? I have the tried with the latest
unified nforce2 driver ver 3.13. But there is no change,
the usage is always 100%

Thanks

Many people confuse the "system" process with the "system idle" process.
Which one are you referring to? If the latter, it is perfectly normal - the
amount of CPU time spent doing NOTHING!

It is the SYSTEM process and not the SYSTEM IDLE PROCESS.
