Hello.

I renamed built-in "Guest" user to "Test", removed it from "Guests" group
and put into "Users" group. This user couldn't access the network. The
following error appears: "WORKGROUP is not accessible. You might not have
permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator...
bla-bla-bla... The network name cannot be found". OK. I created new user
"Test2" ("Users" group). It could access the network perfectly. Then I
removed "Test2" user from "Users" group and put into "Guests" group. IT
COULD ACCESS THE NETWORK! WHY??????
The only way to make "Test" user to access the network is to put it into
"Administrators" group...

Thanks in advance for any help.

Alexey Kurbanov.

When you say "couldn't access the network", what do you mean?
What network resource are you trying to access and how are you trying to
access it?

I tried to access another PC (shared folders) via Windows Explorer.
