Does anyone out there know how to get the Address Bar on
the Taskbar working again? Mine quit working and I get an
error message saying "there was a problem sending the
command to the application".

I'm interested in this too. I had this happen again and I believe a long
time ago I was given a command to enter into the run box that fixed a
registry problem. I can type an addy into the one in IE, but the one
created for the desktop or taskbar does not work.

Thanks, I tried that after reading it in another post. It didn't help. :(

If I select an address from the dropdown list of ones that worked before, it
just loads a blank page and does nothing.

Lou,

Reinstalling or repairing IE may fix this.

I used the add or remove programs applet to remove IE and then I used it to
reinstall it. No luck. I didn't see an option for repair.

There is a very easy way to get rid of this

In Internet Explorer go:

tools>internet options>content (tab)>autocomplete (button)> and press 'clear
forms' and then 'ok'

remove it. Once again, I have tried several times to remove this by means of
clearing both temporary files and history. I thought it might be in my
favorites because after clearing all temporary files my favorites websites
appears when their beginning letter is typed. I'm really put out by the
matter. If no way to clear this website is there any way to wipe out all
files on my computer? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

So Myles and Kelly.... Thank you for your suggestions. However, I tryed both and it did not work. Kelly I'm not sure I really understood your directions. Start. Run. and then I type in Regedit? Please help.

Hi Alicia,

It's probably integrated itself into your system at this point. I would
download and run Adaware from www.lavasoft.de to help remove it and the
offending registry entries that cause it to keep coming back.
