Blue Error Screen

I have XP and recently installed an external CD burner.
My computer worked great for about a week, but then it
began popping up with this blue error screen every time I
attempted to boot up my pc. It says there is a boot error
due to either hardware or software that's been installed
on my computer. I can't restart in safe mode, I can't
restart with last known configurations, I've disconnected
my burner and still can't reboot. NOTHING I do seems to
work. I've tried every option I know of or that I've read
on trouble shooting websites. Someone... PLEASE HELP!!!

When you disconnected the burner did you also disable to delete the driver
for it?
